This communication plan gives guidelines for internal and external communication, to respond to an incident related to Drinking Water Quality.
The aim is to effectively minimize the impact on public health of consumers and safeguard the reputation of the Water Utility.
With the revision of the national legislation, since 2019 January 1st, all drinking water utilites must have a communication plan for drinking water contamination incidents (n.º 8 of article 8 of Decree-Law n.º 306/2007, of August 27, with the wording given by Decree-Law n.º 152/2017, of December 7).
